- Design and develop novel molecular biology workflows and assays for the Curio Seeker and Curio Trekker spatial transcriptomics platforms.
- Be responsible for experimental design, assay running, optimization, data collection, and interpretation
- Work within a multidisciplinary team, spanning from assay, applications, engineering, and bioinformatics, to marketing.
- Maintain good documentation practices and accurate records.
- Communicate and present results to help make critical design and business decisions.
- Be an integral part of the team to launch a series of disruptive products within competitive timelines
- Wear multiple hats at any given time in our dynamic start-up
- Contribute to building the culture of a fast-growing company
- PhD degree in molecular biology, immunology, biochemistry, cell biology, neuroscience, developmental biology, bioengineering,or related field with 2-5 years of industrial experience
- Expertise in one or more cell and molecular biology disciplines including DNA/RNA sequencing, single-cell genomics, spatial transcriptomics, fluorescent microscopy, and histology
- Experience with FFPE tissue processing, microscopy, and histology
- Preferably, experience with single-cell genomics or spatial transcriptomics workflows
- Preferably, knowledge and experience in bioinformatics and NGS data analysis, including running NGS pipelines and conducting data analysis in R, Python, or Matlab
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, agile, highly interdisciplinary environment
- Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and interest in scientific discovery and technology innovation
- Desire to wear multiple hats in a dynamic startup environment
