***: E-PLEX Preschool in CA seeking a qualified and experienced Assistant Director.


This position supports the work of the E-PLEX, committed to strengthening the community through preschooler development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

Develops, organizes and implements high-quality E-PLEX Preschool Development program(s).


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Reviews and evaluates staff performance. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve
  • Ensures that E-PLEX program standards are met and safety procedures followed.
  • Provides for the upkeep of assigned facilities and equipment and ensures the physical environment supports healthy living.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with state child care licensing agency, school administration, parent groups, and other organizations and agencies related to assigned programs. Responds to all agency, parent and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Maintains proper records/department files.
  • Assists with Program Committee meetings.
  • Supervises and support Transportation Supervisor
  • Performs other duties as assigned & Be able to multitask

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.A. or A.A. Degree (15 Child Development Units required)
  • 3 Years of teaching experience required
  • Korean/English Bilingualism Reguired
Assistant Director: 2 Years of administrative experience required
Center Director: 2 to 5 years of related experience as a coordinator or supervisor of child care programs.

  • Experience opening in the environment preferred by children over 60+
  • Typical requirements within 30 days of hire include completion of Child Abuse Prevention for Supervisory Staff; Working with Outsourcing Program Staff, CPR & First Aid
  • Sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to perform essential functions of the position and to safely supervise children's activities

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:


  • At least one year of strong leadership experience with the ability to develop, engage, and inspire a team
  • A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day
  • Ability to build relationships with families and staff and create a dynamic environment where play and discovery go handinhand
  • Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and manage multiple situations effectively
  • Budget and financial accountability with revenue generation experience preferred
  • NAEYC/NAC and state licensing knowledge preferred
  • Must meet state specific guidelines for the role
  • Must be physically able to use a
    computer with proficiency**, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors.
  • Must be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Bilingual is a MUST (English/Korean)

Pay:
From $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to Relocate:

  • Buena Park, CA 90621: Relocate before starting work (required)
