    Senior Power System Engineer

    As a Senior Power System Engineer, you will be a vital member of the engineering team in ABB's Electrification Services consulting on technical solutions and overseeing timely completion to the highest of standards.

    In this role, you will be responsible for delivering electrical system analysis services while working with project managers to ensure that the work executes and satisfies project specifications.

    Your responsibilities


    Provide quotes based on the project one-lines and specifications for the following: data collection, short circuit, equipment evaluation, coordination, arc flash, load flow, harmonic, and power quality analysis.

    Write and present engineering recommendations to improve power system reliability, safety, and preventative maintenance measures.
    Complete tasks within the project timeline and budget.
    Domestic travel up to 25%.

    Your background

    Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred) from an accredited institution.
    5 plus years of experience.
    PE or FE/EIT certification.

    Ability to provide engineering assistance and recommendations to the field offices on system protection and power system related issues to ensure proper system operation.

    Software experience should include Easy Power, SKM Powertools, ETAP, Aspen, and/or EMTP.
    Willingness to work in a multi-task environment, work with minimal supervision and perform field duties as required.
    Ability to read, correctly interpret, and apply electrical one-lines, schematics, and instruction manuals.
    Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
