Monday - Friday (AM) 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM / 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

What you bring to SBHG (Qualifications)**:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources or equivalent education and/or experience required.
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience with benefits and HRIS preferred.
- Healthcare or County Social Services experience preferred.
- Valid California Driver's License
How you will make a difference (Job Overview):
Benefits Specialist provides support in the areas of Group Insurance, 401k Administration, ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan), Wellness, Leave Administration, Benefits Module of HRIS (Human Resources Information System) System, and Compensation.
This position will support company-wide benefits, customer service, and monthly invoice reconciliations, assist with the company's employee benefits policies and programs, and support the Plan Administrator by working strategically and operationally with brokers, third-party administrators, plan providers, vendors, and internal customers ensuring delivery of the most effective and cost-efficient benefit programs/insurances, including 401K, ESOP and COBRA.
Assists the Plan Administrator with the assessment of plans, recommendations for new plans or changes to plans, performing audits and assessments; assists with all aspects of benefits planning and open enrollments.
Work with HR/Payroll assisting/ensuring regulatory filings for health plans, 401 (k) and ESOP compliance requirements, as needed. Additionally, the position will assist with HRIS by creating reports, auditing data, and troubleshooting solutions. Some travel throughout California may be required.Division/Program Overview:
The billing specialist serves as a point of contact for benefits-related inquiries, facilitating communication between the employer, employees, HR contacts, TPAs, and insurance carriers.
They ensure compliance with government regulations such as ACA, COBRA, ESOP, and ERISA, and assist with ACA administration and reporting, including IRS tax statements.
Furthermore, they support the LOA department in administering leave documentation and COBRA compliance.For Additional Information:
