We are seeking a compassionate and hard-working Customer Service Representative to join own growing hospital located in the new Katy area.


Skills Required:


  • A warm and friendly, outgoing personality is required.
  • Effective multitasking is required.
  • Willingness to effectively learn Cornerstone.
  • Adept at handling multiple phone lines.
  • Knowledge of hospital procedures outlined in the employee manual as well as those that are implied (reasonable expectations).
  • Knowledge of spelling and the meaning of commonly used veterinary terminology in order to accurately enter specific information onto patient records.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Excellent communication and client service skills, including tact and diplomacy.
  • Respectful and ethical behavior and performance.
  • Willingness and ability to be a team player with the entire staff.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
  • Understand and carry out oral and written directions.

Essential Job Functions:


  • Strong communication and client service skills. Considerable tact and diplomacy are required. Ability to work with veterinarians, team members, clients, and patients in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner.
  • Ability to courteously and professionally interact with all staff including DVMs and all support staff, as well as communications with clients.
  • Utilize the computer system to accurately and timely enter and retrieve records and reports, enter fees, charges, communications and maintain the database.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions in order to fulfill the requirements of this position.
  • Perform general physical activities that require bending, standing, stooping, moving from room to room, sitting, talking, and listening; may be required to walk or stand for long periods of time; will use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel; will reach with hands and arms.
  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Education/Experience:


  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Cornerstone is a plus.
