    Construction Estimator Position at FosterThomas, Inc.

    FosterThomas, Inc. is proud to collaborate with a regional construction management company in the search for a skilled Construction Estimator to join their Baltimore office team. As a Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in developing budgets and estimates for multifamily and commercial renovation projects through a meticulous review of architectural drawings and specifications.

    • Review project architectural drawings, specifications, and reports to gain a comprehensive understanding of the project scope.
    • Create and implement subcontractor and vendor scopes of work.
    • Obtain bid pricing from subcontractors and vendors.
    • Perform take-offs to confirm material quantities and arrange site visits with subcontractors.
    • Work closely with the project team to ensure accuracy in the estimation process.
    • Utilize historical data and unit prices to enhance future project estimates.
    • Consistently build a network of subcontractors and vendors.

    Required Qualifications:

    • High school diploma, associate's degree, or equivalent in construction management.
    • 5-7 years of construction budget and estimation experience.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with a focus on Excel and Project.
    • Experience with tools like Procore, Blue Beam & Building Connected is preferred.
    • Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to interpret blueprints and attention to detail.

    • Construction budgets and estimates accuracy target of 100%.
    • Complete knowledge of internal documents and procedures within the first year.
    • Consistent meeting of deadlines or proactive engagement with the team to address delays.

    Internal Training:

    • Training in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI).
    • Sexual Harassment training.
