**Warehouse Operations Manager**
Indianapolis, Indiana
**Overview**
Seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager with the vision to support SRAMs growth plan through world class processes and procedures in safety, quality, delivery and efficiency of warehouse operations.
**Responsibilities**
Responsible to create and foster an environment and culture of collaboration, efficiency, and pride of work that the distribution center team executes.
Enforce all work and safety rules in order to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, federal, state and local regulatory agencies, warehouse operations policy and procedures and the SRAM Indy Manufacturing Handbook
Responsibility for standard work creation, warehouse layout/design and evaluation of volume trends to determine slotting and fulfillment plans
Daily order management involving internally and externally sourced product to meet the same day shipping requirements of our customers.
Collaborate with production, planning, sales, and customer service teams to determine strategic planning for Omni channel fulfillment and increase coordination efficiency
Direct the daily workflow for all areas of the warehouse, organize, plan, & determine department priorities in conjunction with the open order requirements to ensure organizational goals are met
Ensure planning, direction, and scheduling of employees in order to optimize labor utilization and align with seasonal demand
Collaboration with supply chain to evaluate freight services/transportation and suppliers
Ability to ensure safe and compliant handling of dangerous goods, including ensuring related dangerous goods paperwork is accurate, complete, and timely
Model SRAM culture and values in day-to-day interactions and decisions
Continually communicates initiatives and policy through warehouse team meetings, tier meetings, and individual coaching sessions in order to fully align all employees with company goals, objectives, and strategy
Lead continuous improvement efforts and implementation of best-in-class distribution practices through daily CI efforts and Kaizen events
May perform other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**
7+ years of relevant experience
2+ years directly or indirectly leading teams, or project management
Bachelors Degree in related area highly preferred
Skilled in warehousing and distribution practices, quality assurance, inventory record accuracy, cycle counting, and procedures for inventory control, and workplace safety
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems. SAP WM or EWM knowledge preferred.
Lean background preferred, including continuous improvement, structured problem solving, and root cause analysis
Hazardous material shipping certification for lithium ion batteries preferred
Effective leadership skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong people and time management skills
Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment with rapidly changing priorities
