Summary of Position
Under direct supervision of the Director of Financial Aid. Advise financial aid students and be completely familiar with the types of aid available to students including: federal, state, and institutional aid. Process FAFSA files according to federal regulatory requirements. Must be able to handle sensitive matters as they relate to student tax information, marital status, household information. Be familiar with all areas within student services in order to advise students regarding the entire student process. Travel to high schools and community events for recruiting and advising purposes. Minimum Required Education Associate's degree from a nationally, regionally, or identified and the state level accredited institution of higher education or equivalent number of credit hours (60). Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum Required Experience Associates Degree and two (2) years related experience OR eight years wage earning experience.A copy of certificates and/or college transcripts required with application for evaluation purposes.
