Join our dynamic team at Totally Bamboo, a leading CPG bamboo housewares company that has experienced explosive growth in recent years. As we continue to expand our operations, we're seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to play a pivotal role in optimizing our supply chain processes and ensure seamless operations from our warehouse based in DeSoto, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Procurement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and execute strategic procurement plans that ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
2. Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with our network of suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to secure favorable pricing, quality, and lead times.
3. Inventory Management: Implement best practices for inventory optimization, including demand forecasting, safety stock management, and inventory turnover analysis to minimize carrying costs while meeting customer demand.
4. Logistics Coordination: Oversee the end-to-end logistics process, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to streamline operations and minimize shipping delays.
5. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains within the supply chain, implementing improvements to drive cost savings and enhance overall performance.
6. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, mitigating supply chain risks and proactively addressing any issues that may arise.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Sales, and Quality Assurance, to align supply chain activities with broader business objectives and priorities.
8. Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analytics tools to analyze supply chain performance metrics, generate insights, and prepare regular reports for senior management review.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
3 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
Proven track record of success in strategic procurement, supplier relationship management, and inventory optimization.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision.
Knowledge of sustainability practices and initiatives within the supply chain is a plus.
Proficiency in ERP systems and other supply chain management software.
