Responsibilities
- To ensure a warm, welcoming, efficient front desk area. Responsible for great first impressions to patients, referral partners, and vendors
- Respond to customer inquiries, product, and service questions
- Managing communications between therapists, physician offices and insurance
- Informing patients about insurance benefits and the cost of care
- Verifying insurance coverage and managing prior authorizations
- Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments
- Maintain customer accounts and make updates with new account information as necessary
- Assist with marketing projects
Qualifications
- Committed to providing excellent customer service
- Must have graduated high school, received a G.E.D. or equivalent
- Display strong communication skills, active listening skills, and personal skills
- Strong knowledge of customer interface and interaction
- Computer and keyboarding skills
- High degree of accuracy with data entry
- Communicates in professional, accurate and articulate manner
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- Training and/or experience in medical office procedures is helpful
- Previous education in medical terminology is helpful.
