At Epsilyte LLC, we are looking for a highly motivated Senior Process Engineer to join our team.The ideal candidate for this role will have an exemplary track record of developing process engineering solutions and improving operational efficiencies.
The Senior Process Engineer will be responsible for leading process engineering projects from concept to completion, providing technical expertise and guidance, and driving process design and optimization of our expandable polystyrene (EPS) manufacturing process.
To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess a strong technical background in process engineering, have experience in the chemical industry, and have the ability to develop effective solutions for challenging problems.
Additionally, the successful candidate must possess outstanding communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify and capture process optimization opportunities to improve production capability, yield, product quality and energy efficiency
Design and oversee the execution of test runs related to new product development, raw material qualification, and other process technology changes
Participate in Process Hazard Analysis efforts to identify process safety improvement opportunities
Work in a team environment with other engineering disciplines, operations, and maintenance personnel
Mentor less experienced engineers on design practices, unit health monitoring, troubleshooting, and other process engineering core competencies
Provide occasional off-hours support of abnormal and non-routine operations, including plant Turnarounds
This role, with the support of third-party subject matter experts, is responsible for the health and improvement of our Distributed Control System (DCS) and other ancillary process controls
Ability to interface with third-party vendors
Other duties as assigned or interested
Requirements
ROLE QUALIFICATIONS:
BS in Chemical Engineering or related discipline
7+ years of experience in process engineering in a manufacturing setting
Familiarity with advanced control strategies / optimization software
Risk assessment and HAZOP/PHA experience
