    Job Overview

    This role is embedded in the Manufacturing Engineering group within our Global Operations Engineering team at our new state-of-the-art device manufacturing facility in North Charleston, South Carolina.

    Together with the rest of your team, you will support the automated production of sub-components, packaging materials, and assemblies for our autoinjector systems.

    Main Responsibilities
    Improve system & equipment reliability for the core processes to meet all customer, business & regulatory requirements
    Lead & support troubleshooting and issue resolution of critical production equipment to minimize unplanned downtime
    Lead the development of improvement plans and requirements for capacity expansion and future production systems and processes
    Lead and support commissioning and acceptance testing of new production equipment
    Manage technology transfer (receiver function) of new products and processes into mass production
    Support validation activities for new equipment and processes as necessary
    Lead and support the identification of novel production equipment for next gen manufacturing systems
    Promote use of new technologies and industry-leading trends. Provide highest level of technical expertise
    Collaborate closely with production teams, machine builders, process/product development groups, and the quality department on performance/process improvements, troubleshooting, and critical event response
    Performs other related duties as assigned.
    Skills and Qualification
    Several years of relevant hands-on experience working with automated manufacturing equipment/processes
    Experience & familiarity with CAD software; experience designing custom parts for production equipment a plus
    Knowledge of common problem-solving and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies
    Passionate & committed self-starter with the ability to work independently and a strong attention to detail
    Excellent intercultural and interdisciplinary communication skills
    Experience/knowledge of metal processing/forming and/or vacuum thermoforming desired.
    Previous exposure to a highly regulated industry (e.g. medical, pharmaceutical) and knowledge of relevant standards (e.g. ISO13485, cGMP) desired.
    Experience troubleshooting electrical and/or pneumatic systems desired.
