**Axient** is seeking a **Weapons Systems Engineer (Senior PAPE)** to support our customer at **Eglin AFB, FL**

**What you will do...**

+ Will applytheoretical and practical knowledge of weapon systems engineering to the DoD acquisition process.

+ Reviewand evaluatearmament programs portfolio

+ Prepare management reports and conduct technical presentations

+ Analyze and/or evaluate results of major engineering weapon systems.

+ Provide system/program engineering, technicalsupport,and technical training to support programs/initiatives.

+ Provide engineering support to conduct formal trade studies.

+ Conduct cost analysis

+ Provide proposal analysis support

+ Review and analyze system concepts and user requirements that have been approved andentered intoa system requirements baseline (functional, allocated, and product).

**Skills you will need...**

+ Active DoD **Top Secret** security clearance.

+ MS degree + 15yrs;

+ Or, PhD + 5yrs

+ Degree program must be ABET accredited and relevant; Experience must be relevant.

+ Possess knowledge and experience in the development of explosive specifications, build and safety procedures, and qualification plans.

+ Knowledge and experience is required in the analysis and test of explosive material to assess explosive performance and conformance to requirements.

+ Knowledge of the evolving requirements surrounding insensitive munitions is also required.
