JOB DESCRIPTION


The Front Desk/Receptionist performs all clerical and administrative duties for the medical office, including answering incoming telephone calls, greeting patients in a friendly manner, scheduling and confirming appointments, collecting copay/patient balances, managing patient and business records, and processing patient insurance.

Our hours are 7am-7pm so must have flexibility to work a mix of AM or PM shifts.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greets all patients and visitors in a warm, sincere, and helpful manner
  • Manages inbound phone inquiries and routes calls accordingly
  • Schedules and confirms patient appointments
  • Manages schedules for the therapists at the practice
  • Maintains patient EMR charts
  • Helps with patient billing and insurance
  • Provides administrative assistance as needed
  • Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
  • Maintaining referrals and authorizations for our patients
  • Responsible for collecting Copays/Patient Balances
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required; some post high school education or training preferred
  • Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor
  • Highly professional and dependable
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
  • Strong organization skills, able to multitask, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fastpaced environment
  • Excellent telephone skills
  • Strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite
  • Medical coding/billing and/or medical record keeping experience a plus
