Summary:
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Possess knowledge of the FOIA and experience with processing complex FOIA requests for a federal agency.
- With limited supervision, the FOIA Analyst shall review, organize, and analyze documents for production in response to FOIA requests, including determining responsive records, identifying confidential business information, intraagency, predecisional and deliberative information or attorney work product, and personal identifiable information.
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Possess strong research and analytical skills
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with individuals at all organizational levels
- Possess the ability to handle multiple tasks within specified deadlines
- Possess proficiency in managing and processing FOIA requests in the FOIAXpress software system
- Possess working knowledge of personal computers and software (Microsoft Word and Adobe)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent amount of experience per the GSA schedule
- Possess at least five (5) years of technical experience in processing complex information requests under the FOIA.
- Possess the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
