The Design Engineer is involved with the design of municipal infrastructure, highways, railways, transit systems, airports, harbors, bridges, tunnels, building, water supply and sewage treatment facilities.

The position reports to the Senior Engineer. The Design Engineer must be a team player and have experience in heavy civil construction. This includes budgeting, organization, implementation, and scheduling of the project.

Ensure the project is constructed in a safe, ethical manner and in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.

The Project Management Team can vary greatly depending on the size and complexity of the projects, which in turn will affect the number of responsibilities the Project Engineer will be involved in.


Design Engineer Required Qualifications:


  • 2+ years of heavy civil infrastructure industry experience is required
  • Proficiency in Structural software such as STAAD Pro, RISA or SAP 2000 or Geotechnical software such as CivilTech or PLAXIS and AutoCAD software
  • 2+ years experience with falsework, formwork, pile templates, temporary works design.
  • Bachelor of Science in Construction or Engineering or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience.
