Position Overview:

Byrne Media is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Manager to join our team and lead sales efforts for a group of rural radio stations in Eastern North Carolina.

As the Local Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through advertising sales, developing and maintaining client relationships, and managing a team of sales representatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet revenue targets and maximize advertising sales opportunities.

2. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, agencies, and advertisers to generate new business and retain existing clients.

3. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they achieve their sales targets.

4. Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Monitor sales performance, analyze market trends, and prepare sales forecasts and reports for management review.

5. Product Knowledge and Promotion: Stay informed about the radio stations' programming, audience demographics, and advertising offerings to effectively promote and sell advertising packages.

6. Contract Negotiation: Negotiate advertising contracts and pricing with clients, ensuring terms are favorable and in line with company policies.

7. Campaign Management: Oversee the execution of advertising campaigns, working closely with clients and internal teams to ensure successful implementation and delivery.

8. Market Research: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for business growth and development.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (preferred).

2. Proven experience in advertising sales, preferably in the radio or media industry.

3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.

4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

5. Strategic thinker with a track record of developing successful sales strategies.

6. Proficient in sales analytics and reporting tools.

7. Knowledge of local market dynamics and advertising trends in rural areas.

8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
