ESL TEACHER TO ADULTS
Job description
Hello prospective ESL instructors Are you a caring and dedicated ESL instructor? Do you love working with a multinational and multicultural student body ? Do you get satisfaction seeing students improve their language skills? Do you have specialized TESOL training or coursework? or have you taught ESL before? Can you commute without a problem to the Bronx or Jackson Heights Queens ? (2 positions).
A well regarded and long established NYS certified and nationally accredited school in the is currently seeking ESL Instructors who have completed their BA, an ESL training program or 6 graduate credits in TESOL and/or one year of ESL teaching experience.
You would teach international students and/ or local immigrants. We prefer persons with ESL teaching experience who love interacting with a multi
- national and multi
- cultural population. This school serves primarily adult learners. A key quality we seek is patience and compassion.
Employee/employer paid health insurance for 24 hour work week. Paid sick leave up to 40 hours for one year of employment.
PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A TESL /TEFL TRAINING PROGRAM OR 6 GRADUATE CREDITS IN TESL.

Skills needed:
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey information to students from diverse linguistic backgrounds
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
- Knowledge of instructional techniques for teaching English language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- TEFL training program for Queens position. One year of ESL teaching experience for Bronx position.
- Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively plan and deliver engaging lessons
