Summary:


Goldschmitt and Associates is searching for a FOIA Analyst to provide FOIA support for policy and program offices within a government agency.

This position is Hybrid.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Support required will involve various assistancerelated duties to respond to requests for records, pursuant to the FOIA.
  • Will review, organize, and analyze documents for production in response to FOIA requests, including determining responsive records, identifying confidential business information, intraagency, predecisional and deliberative information or attorney work product, and personal identifying information.
  • Promote transparency within the government agency by disclosing nonexempt information directly to requestors and making proactive disclosures of nonexempt information readily accessible via the government online electronic reading room.
  • Utilize FOIAXpress to manage and process FOIA requests

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in the FOIA field providing support to, or working directly for, a Government Agency
  • Must have a working understanding of Exemptions 1
  • Prior experience utilizing FOIAXpress to manage and process FOIA requests
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with individuals at all organizational levels
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks within specified deadlines
  • Possess the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
