- Manage the material management process and ensure on-time delivery of quality products. Identify and manage outside suppliers as necessary. Implement and Support Processes required to maintain Regulatory Compliance. Assess current material availability; forecast availability based on the customer releases and new program information. Ensure an adequate supply of materials is on hand and in the order pipeline to achieve customer requirements. Develop and maintain company contracts with suppliers. Evaluate and approve conditions for issuing and awarding business Resolves discrepancies with vendors, contractors, and suppliers. Lead negotiations with suppliers. Develop, Organize, and Report on Key Performance Indicators Manage reporting methods, minimizing, and disposing of obsolete materials Direct production and inventory control, shipping and receiving, and materials storage. Maintain inventory levels to ensure deliveries occur within customer timelines. Identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs and charges. Manage and monitor the storage of purchased parts and finished goods. Ensure customer releases are entered as required.
