Description
Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring two Associate Product Managers, Process Engineering to join our Product team.

Oscar is the first health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform and a focus on serving our members.

We started Oscar in 2012 to create the kind of health insurance company we would want for ourselves—one that behaves like a doctor in the family.

About the role:

Oscar Product is an innovative, fast-paced team using technology and design to revolutionize healthcare.

Our work on tech spans several areas:

building innovative consumer experiences, technology and infrastructure, expanding into new markets, creating better ways for healthcare providers to interact with patients, and optimizing internal operations and processes.

We work alongside a talented set of technologists with Product, Engineering, and Design to form a tight-knit, high-performing team.

In either role, you'll support delivering fully custom developed solutions within our Business Process Management software platform. This includes building core systems from conception and ideation, through design and development, into deployment, and onto continued maintenance.

You'll be responsible for gathering and defining the products' requirements, determining which features are feasible, and validating the final product with internal end-users including other Oscar engineers, data scientists, operations specialists, financial teams, and others across the organization.

You'll also be responsible for defining and developing a product roadmap and measuring the impact of your product to further iterate on Oscar's ability to operate an efficient health insurance company.

You will report to a Group Product Manager.

Work Location:

Oscar is a blended work culture where everyone, regardless of work type or location, feels connected to their teammates, our culture and our mission.

If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office (in Hudson Square), our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Ave), or our Los Angeles office (in Marina Del Rey), you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week.

Otherwise, this is a remote / work-from-home role.

Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $119,200 - $156,450 per year.

You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, company equity grants and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of company strategy and leverage that expertise to inform strategy, roadmap and decision making. Execute on the vision, strategy, and roadmap for product investments that power our technology.

  • Collaborate effectively with engineers, data scientists, designers and other product managers to ship innovative functionality that advances our member experience and makes our tools more efficient.

  • Problem solve issues across teams to quickly diagnose root cause and move to resolution factoring in tradeoffs on speed, scalability and quality.
