    Description


    Central Ohio Primary Care is seeking a full time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for our Polaris Physical Therapy clinic in Columbus, OH.

    The Physical Therapist Assistant provides assistance to the Physical Therapy team with treatment and procedures.

    This position helps with the development of treatment plans, carrying out routine functions, documenting progress of treatment, and modifying specific treatments as needed.

    Responsibilities include gathering information from the patient and collaborating with the Physical Therapist to provide examinations and recommending treatment options.

    This position is full-time working first shift hours Monday-Friday.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


    Collaborate with the Physical Therapist to provide patient care and implement patient's treatment programHandle scheduling of patient treatment, clinical visits and billing, and other documentation per the department's requirementsMaintain updated documentation in EHR system on all patients treatedTake part in the care and maintenance of the clinicMonitor patient response and progress to intervention and consult with team if modifications are needed.

    Prepare clinical notes and progress reports documenting treatments performed. Report changes to patient's condition to the licensed Physical Therapist.
    Instruct, motivate and assist patients as they practice exercises or functional activities. Assist in training patients and care givers on the use of supportive devices or exercises.
    Perform clerical duties; such as taking inventory, order of supplies, taking messages and filling out forms.

    Education, Licensures & CertificationsPhysical Therapist Assistant (PTA) licensed in the State of Ohio requiredExperience with electronic health record systems preferredPrevious experience in Physical Therapy preferredKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesExcellent communication and customer service skillsKnowledge of patient rights and laws including HIPAAKnowledge of procedures and equipmentAbility to work on a team and promote a team environmentAbility to organize data and generate reportsProficient in Microsoft Office applications
