    Description

    Our Client is Looking for a Controls Engineer in Orlando, FL.

    This role involves controls engineering tasks related to control system design, DCS/PLC programming, control panel design, instrumentation, check-out support, and start-up assistance.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Must be organized, technically competent, with effective oral and written communication skills, and experience in a multi-disciplined environment.
    • Designs and implements DCS/PLC control systems to meet process requirements and regulations.
    • Knowledge of control panel design standards and local/government code practices.
    • Develops detailed control system configuration documents.
    • Performs system design calculations and analysis for optimized functionality.
    • Ensures system redundancy for reliability.
    • Creates schematics and layouts using AutoCAD.
    • Assists with system start-up, debugging, and documentation.
    • Leads projects and guides team members.
    • Acts as Project Manager for smaller projects.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Education: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
    • 8-10 years of experience in Ethernet-based control systems, DCS programming, and instrumentation.
    • Proficiency in PLC system design, Allen Bradley, Modicon, Siemens, and AutoCAD.
    • Key Competencies: Contract knowledge, field data collection, system design, problem-solving.
    • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office.
    • TRAVEL: Up to 35% travel.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Requires various physical abilities such as seeing, hearing, clear speech, driving, lifting, and climbing.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Standard and on-site office settings, as well as industrial environments. Regular use of PC, fax, copy machines, and phones.

    Additional Note: Occasional night shifts may be necessary for project installations during off-hours.
