    Purpose:
    The Control Engineering team is responsible for control systems on multiple projects spanning all project phases.

    A Control Engineer's involvement in a project will generally begin with design, and continue with engineering activities throughout manufacturing, shop and site commissioning, and client handover.


    Key Responsibilities & Expectations :
    Technical

    Identifies architecture and key controls technologies to meet project needs

    Understands automated systems, and how the various disciplines (mechanical, controls, artistic, etc) interact

    Writes technical documentation both to fulfill project requirements and for internal purposes

    Performs safety analysis to satisfy both internal standards and external client requirements

    Develops custom PLC projects, HMIs, and software configurations when required for projects

    Researches available products and solutions, and when necessary, builds and tests prototypes

    Team

    Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure that systems meet performance and safety requirements, and function according to best practices

    Contributes to design reviews with productive feedback

    Client-facing. Balances external client requests against internal standard methods and comes to a satisfactory and professional resolution

    Follows internal and external standards and processes

    Provides smooth handover to fabrication and integration teams

    On-site

    Commissions and formally tests installed systems to ensure correct performance and satisfy client requirements

    Works safely in variable environments, including client facilities and construction sites

    Expected Travel: 20-40%


    Foundation / Position Requirements:
    Skills, experience, certifications

    Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical Theater

    3+ Years of experience in a related field

    Detail-oriented, even while working under pressure

    Creative problem-solver with proficiency in both theory and hands-on skills

    Experience will determine level (I, II, III)


    Preferred skills include:
    Familiarity with Beckhoff, Siemens, and Allen Bradley control hardware / software

    Knowledge of TAIT Navigator software

    Understanding of functional safety standards, including ISO12100, IEC 62061, and ISO 13849

    Experience with large, distributed control systems

    Experience in theme park and/or live entertainment applications

    Comfortable with tools for electrical fabrication and testing
