    ABOUT THE POSITION

    As the Event Operations Coordinator, you will play a prominent role within our organization, contributing to the creation of unforgettable memories for our patrons.

    Your role is pivotal in both the game day aspect and community, while also upholding the esteemed reputation of Tampa Bay Sun FC. As the Event Operations Coordinator, you will oversee the matchday operations and special events for our Club. Your approach to achieving these responsibilities should be action-oriented, innovative, well-organized, and highly responsive.

    JOB SUMMARY
    • Provide a professional gameday experience for fans, and players.
    • Assist with set up and tear down of game day activations, signage, field, benches, locker rooms, and other duties as assigned.
    • Work in tandem and support other departments within the Tampa Bay Sun FC organization as well as completing other tasks as needed throughout event days.
    • Oversee a team of part-time operational teammates as needed for game days and events.
    • Assist with preparing the stadium and training facility for private events and match days.
    • Learn and utilize the setup and teardown of access points and metal detectors for stadium events.
    • Assist with stadium equipment inventory, storage, and event checklists.
    • Create on-going relationships with the community to create memorable events.
    • Use your creativity to generate and produce different revenue generating events throughout the year.
    • Assist in general administrative duties specific to Gameday Operations such as creating timelines, working with visiting teams and match officials.
    • Represent the Sun and USL in all interactions.
    • Oversee third party vendor services, including but not limited to, outsourced labor and equipment rentals.
    • Act as competition/field manager on game days as needed.
    • Other duties/tasks as assigned
    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
    • Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience game day operations, or similar role desirable
    • Valid driver's license
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Knowledge of the game is preferred
    • Must be comfortable with an active working environment; being on your feet for the majority of your shift
    • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for long periods of time
    • Must be able to work weekends, nights, holidays, and atypical hours
    • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and execute multiple, competing assignments
    • Ability to lift/move/carry items weighing up to 60 lbs on a regular basis.
    • Ability to lift/move items weighing up to 75 lbs on an occasional basis.
    • Ability to work in a hands-on position in all weather extremes for extended periods of time.
    • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
    • Must be able to pass all background and safeguarding check.
    • Must possess strong communication skills and be able to work in a dynamic professional environment.
    • Strong teamwork and collaborative skills, in brainstorming and execution
    • Ability to complete tasks accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner, while remaining flexible to changing and new priorities and needs.
    • Strong work ethic and excellent follow-through
    • Ability to handle time sensitive requests/changes while working in fast-paced and high-pressure situations
    • Exceptional decision-making and problem-solving skills
    • Strong computer skills inclusive of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Adaptability, flexibility, and willingness to embrace change
    • Excellent interpersonal skills (professional, friendly, and outgoing personality)
    • Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule which includes working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
