Reporting to the Senior Buying Manager, the Supervisor, Retail Product Development/ E-Commerce will be responsible for creating concept sketches, design proposals, and prototypes for new product development.

Utilize design software and tools to develop detailed product specifications. Ensure all designs adhere to Yaamava's brand guidelines and regulatory requirements. Work closely with manufacturers during the development and prototyping stages. Conduct market research to identify user needs, preferences, and competitors' offerings. Develop and implement strategies to drive product development and e-commerce growth. Monitor and analyze sales performance, website analytics, and customer feedback to identify areas of improvement. Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners to ensure timely delivery of products and services.

While safeguarding enterprise assets and guaranteeing departmental integrity, the Retail Product Development / E-Commerce Supervisor will also collaborate, initiate, and support opportunities with other functions by championing the tribe's goals and priorities in a manner that faithfully reflects and upholds the Tribe's vision, mission, and values.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Collaborates with the retail and operations team to design and develop new products for the retail stores or enhance existing ones, ensuring they meet both functional and visual requirements. Sources new vendors to help support Retail Strategy directives. Work closely with Purchasing and the Retail department to ensure seamless integration of designs into the production process to ensure project alignment.
  • Executes e-commerce merchandising to support promotions and marketing. Works closely with internal and external business partners with product and creative teams to develop and implement new site content and experiences to support revenue and consumer acquisition/retention goals. Ensures that designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations. Investigates and addresses design-related issues that may arise during the development or production phases, implementing effective solutions.
  • Regularly analyzes website and web feature results weekly and monthly, identifying actionable next steps for improvement. Is accountable for product page content in partnership with the creative and product team to determine and develop content that guides consumers through their shopping path.
  • Partners with E-Commerce depending on departments on content proposals, promotions, storytelling, and product attributing.
  • Maintains excellent communication with Retail leadership, Retail team members, cross-departments, and vendors to achieve deliverables. Guest—and employee-centric, adapting to meet the needs of guests and team members. Works effectively with all operational and analytical departments to achieve enterprise-driven objectives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department and assumes other responsibilities, duties, tasks and assignments that contribute to the mitigation or response to any public health emergency.

Education/Experience/Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in a midlevel to highend retail buying capacity required, preferably within the hospitality, casino, or resort industry.
  • Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of the minimum educational requirements indicated above.
  • Proven experience in product development and design, particularly in consumer goods or technology products.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative suite and or similar tools.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Work and Outlook required.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills required.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must have a sense of urgency, motivation and be a selfstarter.

Certificates/Licenses/Registrations:


  • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
