Telos is looking for an FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) Analyst on our Corporate Business Analysis and Planning (BAP) team.

This is a high-visibility position with key responsibilities in developing analyses and insights to enable effective management and oversight of the company and to create credible and accurate messaging for investors.

This individual's primary focus will be to support the budgeting and monthly forecasting process for the company's business segments, support investor communications including quarterly earnings calls and to conduct other financial and business analyses as required.

This position will be based in our HQ located in Ashburn, VA.

Responsibilities:


  • Support strategic planning, performance metric development and analysis, management reporting, annual budgeting, monthly forecasting and financial analyses for the company.
  • Support the planning and monthly forecasting processes for business segments.
  • Support preparation for investor communications including quarterly earnings calls.
  • Support preparation of materials for company board meetings.
  • Provide analysis of monthly, quarterly, semiannual, and annual financial results and forecasts including variance vs. budget and prior periods and the interpretation of current performance as a predictive tool for attainment of full year performance expectations.
  • Support management to enable informed decision making based on trends, analyses and "whatif" outcomes.
  • Conduct sensitivity analyses to "stress test" financial forecasts based on potential changes in business conditions.
  • Work closely with the accounting organization to ensure accuracy in models and financial reporting.

Job Requirements:


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Advanced Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience, preferably in a public company environment.
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of fullscope financial statements required; SEC filing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of cost accounting, including Federal CAS, FAR, DCAA compliance, and government contracting knowledge, strongly preferred.
  • Advanced MS Excel proficiency required; Oracle EPM, Power BI, Deltek CostPoint and Cognos 8 experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels are required.
  • Ability to work under timesensitive deadlines; flexibility to produce modification or iterations of deliverables on short notice due to new or changing requirements.
  • A professional attitude regarding attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are required.
