    Position Description:

    Trinity Valley School seeks a full-time Facilities Technician (Entry Level) to join our team.

    The Maintenance Department at Trinity Valley School:

    Under the direct supervision of the Director of Facilities, the TVS Facilities Department is responsible for the full range of tasks associated with maintaining Trinity Valley School buildings, equipment, and grounds.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    The successful candidate will perform general maintenance tasks needed to maintain the schools' buildings, equipment, and grounds.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Perform general maintenance, cleaning, and repair tasks as assigned via the TVS work order system in a timely manner.
    • Ensure all fire, safety, health, and environmental regulations are maintained.
    • Report and recommend repairs that are beyond the scope of responsibilities.
    • Perform regular inspections of equipment and work systems, reporting abnormalities and hazards immediately.
    • Ensure maintenance supplies, equipment and tools are adequately maintained.
    • School event setup and breakdown duties for campus events.
    • Attend required departmental meetings and training sessions.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned to support the TVS Maintenance Department.

    Knowledge, Experience, and Skill Requirements:

    The ideal candidate will:

    • Work collaboratively, communicate effectively, and maintain professionalism.
    • Work with a sense of urgency while maintaining attention to detail when performing tasks.
    • Flexibility in work schedule to meet changing business demands.
    • Be proficient with Microsoft and Mac software.
    • Prior experience working in maintenance assignments.
    • Be able to lift to 25 lbs.; up to 50 pounds with assistance, be on feet for long periods and do extensive walking.
    • Remain flexible in working conditions both indoors and outdoors.
    • Fully support the four main objectives of the TVS Mission Statement.
    • Recognize, embrace, and engage in effort to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion.
    • Successfully complete employment background check.
    • Hold a valid Texas Driver's License.
