    Description:

    Looking for a Medical Assistant to handle the scheduling for the surgery department. Will be one on one with a Doctor and handling their patients personally.

    Needs Back office meaning administrative experience, not your traditionally rooming patients MA, surgery scheduling, go to clinic and support the physician, answer the phone, triage patient over the phone, order entry, clinic prep make sure the doctor is ready for what is coming in. only in clinic when the doctor goes to clinic and talks to the patient regarding testing and follow-up. Phone call, or administrative. RMA/CCMA.

    Job duties:

    Large majority of this job is scheduling patients

    They will be working in a cubicle work environment

    Taking calls from patients regarding new appointments and follow ups from previous appointments

    Monitor new and return patient contact

    Scheduling surgery appointments and coordinating with Doctor schedules

    On clinical days, will be rooming patients

    Recording and updating patient medical histories

    Measuring and recording vital signs

    entering everything into their EHR system, EPIC

    Monitor supply inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and equipment is available

    Clean and stock exam rooms when necessary

    ***Will go through EPIC training for a few days - as needed basis. Must have some experience, but willing to give a refresher course on this.
