Description
(Seasonal FT or PT) The purpose of the Housekeeper is to prepare assigned rooms for occupancy in a manner consistent with the standards Base Camp Hotel & Restaurant/Arizona Snowbowl/MCP.


Essential Functions:

Remove used linens from bed and replace with fresh.

Sort used linens/towel by load type, place used linens into the laundry cart, and launder.

Use a variety of cleansers and tools (broom, mop, toilet scrub-brush, etc.) to clean hotel bathrooms.


Including:
sinks, mirrors, floors, toilets, and tubs.

Clean floors in rooms using a vacuum cleaner, for bathroom floors using a wet mop.


With dust-cloth or feather duster, clean furniture, lamps and fixtures, clean wooden surfaces of TV, tables, end tables, headboards, etc.

Cleaning windows, sills and blinds.

Stock room with amenities and supplies (shampoo, conditioner, soap, spare TP, ice bin liners, comment cards, menus, etc.)

Empty Hotel trash cans, replace liners. Remove litter from around cabins.

Detailed deep cleaning as stated by the Supervisor.

Report all damage and missing items to the Supervisor.

Stock Housekeeping carts with linens, towels, amenities and other items needed to fully flip rooms for the next day.

Verify that thermostats/fireplaces are operational and set to proper temps.

Flexibility in working on mountain shifts (Lodge Attendant/PM Janitorial) and with on mountain staff. Flexibility to help other on-mountain departments when asked.

Education / Training / License(s) / Certification(s) Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.


Physical Requirements:
100% of the day is spent standing, walking and completing manual tasks.

Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, feeling to clean various surfaces and make beds.

Must be able to lift arms overhead.

Frequent pushing and pulling of carts up to 50lbs.

Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50lbs

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee occasionally is exposed to wet and/or winter conditions.

While performing this job, the employee primarily works independently but may also be required to work as part of a crew.
