Do you have a passion for cleaning and curiosity about working with heavy equipment? We are currently seeking a Utility Custodial Cast Member to work at Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts In this role, we use specialized equipment such as pressure washers, leaf blowers, sweeper trucks, pickup trucks, box trucks, forklifts, rider vacuum cleaners, and lifts.
For everyday activity this may include removing debris from waterways, cleaning fountains, scrubbing exterior walls of buildings, cleaning high reach windows, waxing, buffing, vacuuming, clean/extract carpets with portable mounts, pressure wash concrete and other surfaces, recycling and cleaning hazardous spills.
Utility Cast may also be asked to perform regular custodial duties such as cleaning tables, emptying trashcans, cleaning restrooms, using chemicals, sweeping and general area cleaning.
The pay rate for this role in Florida is $17.40 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Pressure wash concrete and other types of surfaces
- Operate vehicles and heavyduty equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, sweeper trucks, scissor lifts, utility trailers, and aerial lifts
- Ability to operate a highpressure washer at 3000 PSI and 190 degrees using hot and cold water
- Cleaning and extracting carpets with portable or trailer mount units
- Maintain the cleanliness of the tunnel (if applicable) by using the tunnel scrubber
- Working on various terrains including railroad tracks, and water banks
- Work in outdoor settings during various weather conditions
- Will handle cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Complete tasks with use of equipment, tools or systems related to performance of assigned responsibilities
- Communicate using a radio and/or cellular phone
- Remove debris from all waterways, attraction flumes, and interior & exterior flumes
- Cleaning basins and decorative fountains
- Climb up and down ladders
Basic Qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- A valid US Driver's License to be able to drive company vehicles and use of the heavy equipment not excluding pickup trucks, and Pargo
- Strong communication skills (including written and spoken English, and interpersonal skills) to positively talk with Guests, Cast Members, and leadership
- Be able to comprehend chemical labels in English
- Physical role requiring heavy lifting, walking, pushing, pulling, bending twisting, repetitive movements and kneeling
- This role is Part-Time and requires full availability for any shift, any (3) days per week, including nights and holidays. Part-Time Cast Members will work between 0 to 24 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous construction experience
- Previous commercial cleaning experience
- Previous farm experience
- Previous experience using rideon sweeper/scrubber equipment
Additional Information:
SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.
