JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Assist in the coordination of staff training in orientation for all new staff.
  • Assist with the coordination of employee schedules for regular in relief staff.
  • Be a back-up in scheduling/staffing issues
  • Provide impute in the Direct Care Worker evaluations
  • Physical Plant adherence
  • Meet regularly with social work staff regarding minors in their caseloads, including discipline
in treatment of residents, progress in evaluation of residents, initiation, or cessation of residency

of youth.


  • Ensure that staff are at adhearing to state, County and agency regulations which include but
are not limited to regulations specified by the state licensing agency and California Code of

Regulations, Title 22, and the STRTP Interim Licensing Standard.


  • Perform all other duties assigned by the Executive Director or Administrator as deemed
necessary as to the daily operations of the organization.


  • Frequently monitor the facilities and ensure that they are clean, orderly and in good repair
period


  • Submit weekly house inspections to their supervisors.
  • Consult with Community Care Licensing liaisons as well as with various County liaisons to
ensure that all formal licensing regulations agency policies are met.


  • Responsible for reporting to the Executive Director for all matters pertaining to BHTC,
including but not limited to financial, facility, youth, and management issues.


  • Enforces current laws and regulations regarding childcare, childcare provider requirements,
family law, Child Welfare and Institution Codes, California Code of Regulations, Title 22, and the

STRTP Interim Licensing Standard regulations, mental health regulations, and Children's

Rights.


  • Submit a Monthly Facility Manager Report
  • Have the ability to make Administrative decision when needed
  • Participate as one of the Crisis Team Member.
17 Ability to write clear concise documents, special incident report and communications.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Will have a BA or BS degree or have a valid child development teaching permit or, have
completed 12 semester units of Early Childhood Education, Adolescent Development, or Foster

Kinship Care Education and have at least 100 hours of experience working with youth; or have

a valid certificate as an Alcohol Counselor, Drug Counselor, or Alcohol And Drug Counselor,

and have at least 100 hours of experience working with youth; or have a valid Vocational

Training certificate, credential or documentation demonstrating that the individual is a trade

journey person who instructs children in vocation skills and has at least 100 hours of experience

with youth; or have previously been employed as a staff or volunteer at a group home or short

term residential therapeutic program for at least one year; or have relevant experience as

determined by the Department to meet any of the above requirements; or had been employed

as a direct staff that was operating as a group home license prior to January 1, 2017 and will be

at least 21 years of age.

  • Will be cleared through our commercial insurance carrier and will be able to drive BHTC
vehicles.

  • Will also be in good physical condition and as such be able to participate in recreational
activities with the youth.

  • Will have experience in management and supervision of staff.
  • Will have good leadership, writing, and communication skills.
  • Will be available for a 40hour work week and be available for all shifts.
  • Will undergo the same screening in training procedures required by state regulations including
but not limited to background reference checks, DOJ, FBI, and Child Abuse Check Index (CACI)

fingerprinting for criminal clearance, First Aid and CPR certification, and a preliminary health

Criminal Record Statement and Statement Acknowledging Requirement to Report Suspected

Child Abuse.

The individual will demonstrate a proven ability to administer and manage personnel in a

cooperative and professional manner. A philosophy of support for abused youth juveniles and

parolees in line with values, mission, and treatment philosophy of Brighter Horizon Treatment

Centers. Will have a management philosophy that respects the value of people and seeks to

maximize their potential in the workplace.

From $18.00 per hour
