    **Job title: Assistant Branch Manager/Retail Operations Analyst Status: Exempt**

    **Reports to: Branch Manager Department: Branches**

    **SUMMARY:**

    Working under the guidance and direction of the Branch Manager, the Assistant Branch Manager/ Retail Operations Analyst will effectively manage branch operations, develop staff, and promote the sales and service culture in the branch. Under the guidance and direction of the Director of Branch Operations the ABM/Retail Operations analyst will review procedures in Member Experience departments to identify areas of improvement, write new procedures or revisions to procedures and test procedures for implementation. Work as a project team member on any project assigned, attend project meetings, offer insight into scope of project from branch perspective, perform project testing, and communicate any project issues.

    **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

    Manages all functions of the branch and operational activities, including adequate staffing levels, and staff development.

    Supervision of branch staff, ensure branch team is following all policies, compliance requirements, procedures, and security measures.

    Provides leadership, coach, train, observe and manage performance of staff to ensure branch achieves sales and service goals. Responsible for the consistent execution of sales and service activities and strategies to achieve sales and service goals.

    Assure productive workflow and that all operations are consistent with internal and external policies and regulations.

    Assists in the development and training of staff, including performance reviews, giving constructive feedback, and administering correction action processes. Recognize and encourage staff members that are high performers and address any deficiencies in performance.

    Oversees consumer loan production for branch, including approving loans within authority level, underwriting, and disbursement

    Provides exceptional member service to all external and internal members to foster and capture the credit union culture

    Supports ongoing marketing strategies, plans, contests, promotions, and focuses in branch

    Promotes Credit Union through community involvement via memberships in local organizations (i.e. Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, etc.), participation in town events, and engage in local business networks

    Suggests changes in products, policies, and procedures that would enhance member satisfaction, revenue, security, or operational efficiency

    Follows established audit, security, and compliance guidelines to protect the staff, company assets, and members from harm or loss

    Works with Branch Manager to develop, update, and maintain an annual budget for the branch

    Operates branch within budget and manages controllable components of expenses for the Branch

    Provides facilities management such as bids for repairs and services, ensuring that security-alarm system functions properly, maintain ATM machines, and other necessary duties

    Accommodates flexible work schedule to meet branch needs, including evenings and weekends. Provide coverage at other branch locations, as needed.

    Perform Notary Public duties

    Assists with any new projects as assigned including research, development, testing, and follow-up.

    **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES cont.:**

    Make recommendations for changes in Retail operations areas that have been identified as needing improvement

    Help to identify and streamline processes and procedures that have been assigned for review and write procedures to incorporate changes

    Write and test new operational procedures as assigned

    **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:**

    Complete and thorough knowledge of all products and services of the credit union

    Proficient in new membership application process, loan process and all affiliated regulations including but not limited to BSA, Reg E, Reg D, Reg CC, and Truth in lending and Truth in savings

    A working knowledge of all areas under supervision

    Knowledge and experience in creating and sustaining a sales and service environment

    Knowledge of and advanced skill in using computer software, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

    Ability to write, type and operate standard office equipment and tools, such as personal computer, postage machine, fax machine, telephones, photocopier, typewriter

    Excellent written and oral communication skills

    Ability to prioritize, pay close attention to detail, and coordinate various activities simultaneously

    Ability to communicate with members, co-workers, management, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner

    Demonstrated skill in Member Service and Sales

    Demonstrated problem solving skills

    Ability to de-escalate member complaints

    Ability to work independently of supervision

    Ability to communicate successfully with members, co-workers, supervisors, and vendors

    Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

    Ability to handle multiple responsibilities, assignments, and deadlines

    Complete & Execute Signature Medallion Program

    Notary Public

    Must register with the National Mortgage Licensing System

    Ability to see well enough to read reports and use computer.

    Ability to hear well enough to communicate on the phone.

    Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, push, pull and carry. Lifting/Pulling/Carrying may incur up to 30-50 pounds on an occasional basis.

    Driving may be required for occasional travel between Island Federals branches.
