Job Overview

Galerie is a new kind of film club that combines curated film collections, original videos, in-depth essays and exclusive live events.

We are currently seeking a Social Media Manager to develop bespoke content and community engagement strategies for our social platforms.

The Social Media Manager will have a passion for all things social media, technology and cinema and will have experience launching brand-based community initiatives, all with a thorough understanding of how to optimize and measure the impact of campaigns based on industry best practices.

With a knack for brand voice and a keen understanding of what makes something stand out, they'll create and post content that gets people excited about the craft and culture of cinema and fosters community.

Reporting to the SVP of Content Strategy and working closely with our marketing, design and editorial teams, they'll manage the social content calendar, write social copy, and come up with creative and eye-catching ways to tell Galerie's stories across our social platforms to help grow our audience of culture and cinema lovers.

Responsibilities

• Write copy and create content for Galerie's social media platforms that reflects the brand and fosters community
• Moderate incoming comments and engagements across all social platforms and provide constructive feedback on how to improve and maintain positive sentiment
• Own and manage weekly social content calendars
• Liaise with development, programming and editorial departments to stay updated on new products and features
• Set, track, analyze and report on KPIs

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience creating content for social media platforms
• Excellent copywriting skills
• Understanding of community management and engagement
• Knowledge of various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
• Strong understanding of social media trends, best practices, and analytics
• Basic knowledge of project management and graphic design tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Enthusiasm for creative brainstorming and trying new things
• Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Effective time management and organizational skills
