- Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices
- Verifies accuracy of invoices and other accounting related documents or records
- Invoice tracking/research to ensure all invoices are paid timely
- Vendor approval/set-up
- Insurance tracking/monitoring
- Accounts Receivable
- Assists with monthly accruals and reclasses
- Inter-company processes
- Assist with bank reconciliations
- Assist with annual audit process
- Assist with review of move out statements for Multi-Family portfolio
- General accounting functions and special projects
- Develops and maintains positive working relationships with external and internal departments
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college level accounting preferred
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience in General Accounting functions
- Multi-Family background preferred
- Strong ability to utilize 10-key function for data entry
- Strong Excel skills required
- Yardi-Payscan experience preferred
- Extremely organized & detail oriented
- Able to handle large volumes quickly and accurately
- Sense of urgency
- Good communication skills - written & verbal

The Multifamily Portfolio Accountant is responsible for entering and processing company payables and receivables and assist with general accounting functions for the department.

Founded in 1978 by Lucy and Henry Billingsley, the organization expertly builds, owns, and manages its properties, ensuring long-term client, resident, and partner return. Specializing in master-planned developments and principles of new urbanism, each Billingsley property signifies technology, convenience, and a vast array of amenities aimed to attract and retain tenants, residents, visitors, and employees. These amenities include art, sculpture, parks, trails, and outdoor public spaces. With over 5,000 acres in DFW, Billingsley has built 5 million SF of Commercial space, 550,000 SF of Retail, 9 million SF of Industrial, and over 10,000 units of Multi-Family.
About Our Multifamily Team
We've thoughtfully designed and built over 10,500 units and currently manage 6,800 units, with another 2,000 under construction and 2,500 in design. We serve over 100,000 residents throughout 4,000 acres of master-planned communities with unrivaled quality and attention to detail.
