    Job Title: Clinical Research Laboratory Technician


    General Overview:

    Performs various laboratory procedures on clinical research specimens, demonstrating mastery of laboratory techniques, principles, and instrumentation to provide quality information for the research and development of clinical processes.


    Essential Responsibilities:
    • Performs laboratory testing on specimens according to protocol while ensuring safety and infection control (40%).
    • Independently executes research tasks defined by the physician/investigator (20%).
    • Operates, calibrates, and maintains instrumentation (20%).
    • Reviews and monitors quality control/assurance records (5%).
    • Proper care and handling of laboratory animals (5%).
    • Participates in continuing education and monitors laboratory inventory (10%).

    Qualifications:

    Minimum:
    • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biology, or related field.
    • Experience with computer software programs.

    Preferred:
    • 0-1 years' experience in a research laboratory environment.
