Under the direction of the Sr VP Behavioral Health Services, and through coordination with the department directors, managers and supervisors, the Manager BH Court Operations works independently to oversee the day to day operations of the following critical support functions, including management of subordinate employees working in these areas: all documentation and coordination related to the mental health commitment process; all materials management, purchasing and vehicle maintenance activities and front desk reception and switchboard operations for both the Desert Vista and the Behavioral Health Annex facilities.


Hourly Pay Rate:
$ $58.94


Qualifications

Education:


  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or have an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform assigned tasks. Prefer a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field.

Experience:


  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of progressive responsible psychiatric or legal services experience that demonstrates a strong understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Requires prior supervisory/management experience, preferably within a support services function in a healthcare organization.
  • Prior experience in healthcare staffing is strongly preferred

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Must be knowledgeable of all facets of the mental health commitment process in the State of Arizona, including the applicable Arizona revised statutes.-
  • Must have a good working knowledge of general management practices and principles, including a good understanding of the Valleywise Health Merit Rules and the Broadlane/Prolucent contract labor agreement.-
  • Must have the ability to supervise and coordinate the work of subordinate personnel in a manner conducive to full performance and high morale.-
  • Must be approachable, people oriented, and a good listener.-
  • Must be a change agent able to develop, implement and maintain policies and processes.-
  • Requires the ability to be a creative, independent thinker.-
  • Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism, customer service, and enthusiasm, combined with the ability to build relationships with business and key stakeholders.-
  • Must possess solid analytical and problem-solving skills along with the ability to utilize the appropriate management techniques to plan, organize, control and coordinate activities.-
  • Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English, including professional level usage of grammar, spelling and punctuation.-
  • Pursuant to Arizona Administrative Code R CHAPTER 10 of the Dept. of Health Services, personnel must be at least 21 years of age, or at least 18 years of age and licensed or certified under A.R.S. Title 32, and providing services within the personnel member's scope of practice.
