Description

Northwoods is seeking a Service Manager for our Virtualization department.

In this role, you will be responsible for the service lifecycle, including defining the strategy and guiding the service design.

You will also support and participate in customer projects involving VMware vSphere and Cloud Foundation.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring delivery and performance commitments are met, coordinating with all service providers, and managing financial and investment planning.

Additionally, you will be responsible for documentation, knowledge building and transfer within the organization.

To be considered for this position, you must have a degree in IT or equivalent experience, with at least two years of professional experience or a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role in IT service management.

Knowledge of VMware vSphere, Aria Suite, NSX, and Cloud Foundation is required, and experience with cloud technologies is a plus.

Experience in the public sector or military and ITIL certification is also preferred.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Fluency in German and good English skills are required, and willingness to travel within Germany is expected.
