- Mentorship and DevOps Advocacy: Manage 2-3 engineers and lead by example to promote a strong DevOps culture within the organization. Facilitate workshops and training sessions to share knowledge and best practices.
- Infrastructure Automation: Leverage tools like Terraform to maintain and build fully automated environments, adhering to the principles of Infrastructure as Code.
- Collaboration and Leadership: Act as a bridge between the software engineering, product, security, data and IT operations teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement, sharing best practices and leading initiatives that enhance collaboration and efficiency.
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Own and optimize the CI/CD pipeline for seamless product delivery, ensuring fast, reliable deployment cycles.
- Monitoring, Alerting, and Operational Excellence: Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting strategies using industry-leading tools to ensure proactive incident management. Drive operational excellence with a focus on reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Cost Management: Build and maintain strategies for real-time cost monitoring and optimization, ensuring efficient use of cloud resources and maximizing return on investment.
- Disaster Recovery and High Availability: Design and regularly test disaster recovery plans and high-availability solutions to guarantee system resilience and data integrity.
- Development support: work with developers and data team on adhoc tasks
- Deep understanding of advanced development engineer practices around automation and software principles.
- 2+ years of managerial experience with multiple direct reports
- 5+ years of professional DevOps experience within IAC
- Deep knowledge of AWS
- Expertise with Terraform
- Experience building and supporting production quality software
- Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes
- Experience with Elastic Container Service (ECS)
- Exposure to SecOps and familiarity with mitigating security threats would be a nice to have
- Capacity to work in-person three days per week and work effectively with our talented remote population as well.

Your Role:
Lead the Nayya DevOps team to transform our existing infrastructure into a fully automated environment, evangelizing the concepts of "Infrastructure as Code" and growing the DevOps mindset at Nayya. Emphasize development methods that stress communication, collaboration, integration, automation, and measurement of cooperation between software engineers and other information-technology professionals.
You will challenge the way we deliver software and provide expert advice on the development platform designs, standards, requirements & patterns implementation, and product releases.

The salary range for New York based candidates for this role is $140,000- $170,000. We use a location factor to adjust this range for candidates that are located outside of geographic region of our New York office. Placement within the salary band is determined based on experience.
