    Job Title: Construction Project Manager at DASNY



    About the Company:

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree plus five years of relevant construction industry experience.
    • Two years of supervisory experience or completion of designated supervisory training.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
    • Experience as a DASNY Senior Assistant Project Manager or Field Representative.
    • Professional Engineer or Architect license.
    • Minimum two years of supervisory experience.
    • PC applications and construction systems proficiency (Oracle Contract Manager, PMWeb, P6 scheduling).

    Duties Description:

    The Project Manager oversees all construction project aspects to provide value-added services to client agencies.


    Essential Functions:
    • Represent DASNY as the primary liaison to client agencies.
    • Develop and monitor project scope budget and schedule.
    • Manage selection of design and construction consultants.
    • Coordinate project activities among stakeholders.
    • Ensure compliance with all DASNY procedures.
    • Supervise field staff and maintain project quality.
    • Participate in claims documentation and settlement.
    • Establish procedures for project requirements.
    • Pursue new business opportunities with client agencies.

    Other Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Train and evaluate employees.
    • Implement internal controls and procedures.
    • Assist in policy development.
    • Undertake special assignments as directed.

    Supervision:

    Supervision of employees is required.


    Physical/Mental/Visual Demands:

    Travel may be required with exposure to weather extremes. Decision-making under pressure may be needed occasionally.


    Health and Safety Requirements:

    Candidates must comply with applicable laws regarding COVID-19 vaccination.


    Work Environment:

    Official station may be at a construction field site with possible frequent site visits.


    Requires use of PC, telephone, fax, and other office equipment.


    Additional credentials or background checks may be necessary for some positions.
