**Role Overview**
The Technical Support Specialist will troubleshoot technical issues, provide timely customer feedback, support the roll-out of new applications, and dispatch field technicians, among other duties. They will also need to talk to customers directly, as well as create written documentation, requiring excellent written and verbal communication.
**Responsibilities:**
Identify hardware and software solutions.
Troubleshoot technical issues.
Diagnose and repair faults.
Install and configure hardware and software.
Speak to customers to quickly and effectively get to the root of their problem.
Provide timely and accurate customer feedback.
Talk customers through a series of actions to resolve a problem.
Dispatch field technicians and working with them to resolve issues.
Follow up with clients to ensure the problem is resolved.
Support the roll-out of new applications.
Provide support in the form of procedural documentation.
Manage multiple cases at one time.
Restock inventory and pick parts, in addition to using FedEx software to ship parts both locally and globally.
Related Duties:
Any additional duties assigned by the manager.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
Training and Experience
1-2 years of experience in tech support, desktop support, or a similar role.
Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills
Certification in Microsoft is advantageous
Proficiency in Windows.
Experience with remote desktop applications and help desk software.
Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Good written and verbal communication.
**Physical Requirements**
Manual dexterity to be able to troubleshoot mechanical equipment; additionally, ability to work on the phone and computer for extended periods of time.
Working Conditions
Warehouse environment along with office and some exposure to a manufacturing environment, with some abnormal variations in temperature, unavoidable fumes, noise, dust and atmospheric conditions.
