We are a General Contractor located in Maspeth, Queens, family owned and operated since 1978, seeking an
experienced Construction Estimator to join our team.

Responsibilities include estimating for both Residential and Commercial projects and oversee/managing construction projects from start to finish.


This position is an in-person, full-time position, and requires at least 5 years of experience in the field of Construction Estimating.

Responsibilities:

• Establish a bidder list for each project, and issue bid invitations.
• Must be able to interpret, review and prepare project plans, proposals, blueprints, and other documents.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of project estimates and work.
• Manage construction projects from start to finish, including budgeting, scheduling, and overseeing subcontractors.
• Communicate project progress to clients, and senior management.
• Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Attend prebid meetings, site visits, weekly meetings, and other meetings as needed to ensure accurate project estimates and progress.
• Create, develop, and maintain project budgets, schedules, and project plans.
• Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with construction projects.

Job Requirements:

• Excellent organizational, communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
• At least 5 years of experience in construction estimating and project management.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software as well as takeoff software.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential costsaving opportunities.

Pay:
$70,000 starting, negotiable based on experience.
