Occupational Therapist - Maternity Leave Coverage (Short Term Assignments)Durham, NC

Assignment Periods:
August 19 - November 8, 2024
October 15 - December 19, 2024
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of students' fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skills.
Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to address students' occupational therapy needs.
Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support students' academic and functional goals.
Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress, therapy sessions, and other required documentation.
Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing expertise on occupational therapy.
Educate and support school staff on strategies and best practices for addressing students' occupational therapy needs.
Stay current with best practices, research, and advancements in the field of occupational therapy.

Qualifications:

Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Valid North Carolina state license in Occupational Therapy.
Experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations is preferred.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to supporting the diverse needs of students.
