- Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and special tests, and documents treatment as required.
- Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests for patient assessment.
- Assesses and evaluates patient needs and responses to care provided.
- Applies sound nursing judgment in patient care management.
- Provides primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Collaborates with the nursing team to develop a comprehensive Plan of Care for all patients.
- Directs and guides ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.
- Graduate of a professional nursing program with Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care (preferred, not required).
- Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools for patient care improvement.
