- Provides direct patient care in endocrinology; instructs medical students and residents in the discipline of Endocrinology; participates in conferences, conducts, and develops research grants and proposals.
- Work with the endocrinology healthcare team to provide patients with endocrinology medical care services within the standard of care for endocrinology patients.
- Adhere to departmental policies, procedures and objectives, ongoing quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.
- Participate in the teaching programs of the Department of Medicine, the College of Medicine, and the University.
- Conduct independent research in line with the goals of the Department of Medicine, including maintaining a strong record of accomplishments and the ability to secure external funding that will provide salary support as Principal Investigator or Co
- Principal Investigator and support research efforts and projects. Publish in peerreviewed literature as first or coauthor.
- MD or equivalent required; successful completion of an Endocrinology fellowship; board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine; current licensure in the State of Ohio required, prior to beginning the position.
- The ability to successfully teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows within the discipline of endocrinology.
- Experience of working with a team of healthcare professionals and collaborating with them to ensure positive, effective patient experiences with our organization.
