Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a highly qualified Manager 3 International Trade Compliance to join this sector. This position is based of Redondo Beach, CA and supports a part-time hybrid telework arrangement.

Develops and manages comprehensive internal export and import controls to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies in the conduct of international marketing, sales, supply chain and other business activities.

Establishes business processes for submitting to and obtaining from the US government all necessary export and import licenses, permits, certifications, and technology release determinations.

Establishes and maintains relations with appropriate government regulatory agencies.

Establishes operational processes for assuring trade compliance through gate reviews of technical data, foreign travel, foreign visits and export and import shipments.

Maintains applicable trade compliance records in accordance with regulatory requirements. Supports law department in investigating and resolving compliance problems, questions, or complaints. Establishes and maintains training and audit/assessment programs to ensure implementation and effectiveness of internal controls. Generates performance metrics for export and import processes.

Assures Division export / import program complies with U.S. government regulations and internal procedures

Manages a team of global trade professionals of varying levels of experience

Serves as Lead Empowered Official

Represents Division on complex contracts or projects associated with export and import regulations and company policy

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline with a minimum of 9 years of international trade compliance experience or 7 years of related experience with a Masters or a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 14 years of international trade compliance experience.
  • Proficiency in the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
  • Must have a U.S Department of Defense Secret security clearance
Must be able to obtain and maintain a special program access


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as an Empowered Official
  • Experience with OCR EASE Software and SAP GTS
  • Experience in Technology Security and Foreign Disclosure processes
  • Working knowledge of MTCR
