- Lead and enhance facility management programs, including planning, construction projects, maintenance, energy management, groundskeeping, and janitorial services.
- Direct facilities maintenance operations, overseeing skilled trades such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and utilities.
- Manage recruitment, training, and supervision of staff, professionals, and management team members.
- Ensure a safe and efficient working environment conducive to business performance.
- Oversee construction projects and coordinate other essential services such as groundskeeping, laundry, food, security, inventory, and concierge services.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience in facilities operations.
- Proficiency in managing facilities within a university or campus setting, with a focus on mechanical trades, groundskeeping, and custodial services in a union environment.
- Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) designation is advantageous.

In this role, you will drive success through your passion for people and your commitment to excellence. The Director of Facilities will oversee all aspects of facility management for our client partner at a prominent university campus located in Smithfield, RI.
Our ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional professionalism, a strategic mindset, and a sense of urgency to meet the needs of our esteemed client partner. Reporting directly to the District Manager, the Director of Facilities will be responsible for budget management, team leadership, and ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction across all academic, administrative, and off-site campus buildings. A valid driver's license is required for this position.
