Overview:

Position Summary

To provide supervision, coordination and evaluation of work activities of the Career Readiness and Instructional staff for the CareerCompass program.


Responsibilities:


  • Creates weekly and monthly engagement calendar for CareerCompass workshops. Identifies workshop curricula that incorporate robust job preparation and assessment tools to assist clients in identifying and achieving their goals.
  • Provides oversight and supervision to Career Readiness and Instructional staff. Conducts regular staff observations and meetings to review performance and provide feedback. Motivates staff.
  • Ensures that all orientation and workshop sessions, held in both Spanish and English, are interactive and engaging.
  • Ensures workshop facilitation is in compliance with program policies and procedures by observing and evaluating workshops quarterly to determine quality of services provided.
  • Provides a robust client experience through the Learning Management System (LMS) by collaborating with LMS team to create and update curriculum. Works toward the goals of increasing client engagement.
  • Reviews and approves online job search, client resumes and other materials for client job readiness and instructional purposes to supplement classroom instruction, including overseeing the development and updating of appropriate handouts for CareerCompass clients.
  • Ensures TABE/BEST test is facilitated in compliance with State and funder guidelines for required CareerCompass clients.
  • Develops and fosters working relationships with CareerCompass management team, external referrals, HRA and other service providers as needed. Effectively collaborates with Internship Developers, Career Service Coordinators and other CareerCompass staff to support program, policy and resource development, and client services.
  • Hires and trains instructional staff on all program workshops, assessment tools, and services.
  • Identifies inservice training needs and participates in instructional development and delivery.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. Minimum requirements are an Associate's Degree or equivalent with three years of related work experience.
  • Strong workshop facilitation skills required.
  • Bilingual Spanish is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work effectively with public assistance clients from various socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds and establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients.
  • Maintain professional ethics related to confidentiality of client information.

Salary:
$65,000-68,500/year

Working 5 days on site.
