    Description
    ATA Services Inc is currently seeking to hire Communication Dispatchers to work on a temporary assignment with Albuquerque Water Authority.
    • Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
    • Schedule: Monday - Friday; 9:00am - 5:30pm
    • This position is expected to last 6 months.
    • Location: 1441 Mission Ave NE; 87107
    This position works under a supervisor and receives direction from the assigned supervisor, job duties include:
    • Operate radio communication equipment.
    • Prioritize incoming requests and dispatch services as needed for the operation of the Water Authority.
    • Receive incoming calls through various forms of communication equipment.
    • Respond to requests and relay emergency and non-emergency calls to appropriate staff for service. Assign and schedule work.
    • Follow guidelines as set by the FCC.
    • Maintain logs and records of all calls received and dispatched.
    Job Requirements:
    • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any type of condition.
    • Excellent clerical and organizational skills to keep track of schedules, routes and personnel.
    • Knowledge of computers for scheduling and other dispatching duties
    • Ability to multitask with different, and sometimes conflicting, events happening at the same time.
    • Ability to work under stress and remain calm and to calm other people during rapidly changing circumstances.
    • Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment.
