Pay Range**:
$50,000-$65,000


The
Membership Manager is the lead developer and driver of all aspects of the Museum's membership programs ranging from creating the overall programmatic vision, meeting/exceeding revenue goals, outreach and communications, gift acknowledgement and tracking, renewals, appeals, event and engagement strategies and member engagement.

Internally, this is a key member of the development department; externally, the membership coordinator serves as an ambassador and key connector to our membership community.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute a comprehensive membership cultivation and recruitment strategy to meet and exceed revenue goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current members to ensure renewals and upgrade opportunities.
  • Create compelling membership structure and benefits to attract new members.
  • Administer all aspects of the membership program including:
  • Project manage the annual calendar of membership related activities
  • Process all membership data entry, including transferring data from other online systems
  • Draft membership communications ranging from direct mail and thank you letters to enewsletters
  • Work collaboratively across departments to identify programming opportunities, ensure membership benefits such as admission access, special events, are fulfilled and proactively nurtured.
  • Organize and oversee all events, initiatives, drives and campaigns. Continuously evaluate and enhance quality to improve member experience.
  • Respond to membership inquiries via phone, internet, and mail and serve as a primary liaison to our members.
  • Work with the communications team to produce membershiprelated printed and web materials.
  • Work with the development committee as needed to cultivate new members and engage member prospects.
  • Track and report on membership and partnership performance, including revenue, retention, and engagement metrics.
  • Utilize data and insights to make informed decisions and adjustments to program and engagement strategies.

Qualifications:


  • Three years of experience with nonprofit membership program, marketing or fundraising departments, preferably in the arts and humanities
  • Strong project management, administration, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, keen attention to detail, strong work ethic
  • A cando, flexible, resourceful, and goaloriented attitude
  • The ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality is paramount
  • Proficiency in Office systems including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; Proficiency with CRM software, preferably Salesforce
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but strong work experience will be considered.
